Whiskey Bottom Road Sidewalk Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to build a sidewalk along eastbound Whiskey Bottom Road from Homestretch Court to US 1 in Laurel, is expected to begin or about Monday, July 17th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early August 2023.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball has announced Howard County is joining the Biden-Harris Administration’s National Building Performance Standards Coalition. The National Building Performance Standards Coalition is a nationwide group of state and local governments that have committed to design and implement building performance programs. President Biden launched the program in 2022.
Howard County Department of Public Works to Host Public Meeting on Patapsco Park Estates Pond Repair
Howard County Department of Public Works’ Stormwater Management Division will hold a public meeting on Thursday, August 10th to present plans to repair an existing pond located near 2041 Eliza Dorsey Lane in Ellicott City. The project will include replacement of the old metal outlet structure with a new concrete outlet structure that has a longer service life and will bring the pond into compliance with current Maryland Department of the Environment requirements. Weather permitting, the project is expected to begin in fall 2023 and be completed by spring 2024.
