Columbia shooting victim dies; police offer reward for information

The victim in the Jan. 21 shooting in Columbia died Monday at the hospital from his injuries, and Howard County police are now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case.
 
Natanael Rodriguez Cuxun, 17, of Arlington, Va., was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on Snowden River Parkway just south of Rustling Leaf at approximately 2:10 a.m. when he was shot. Detectives believe the suspect fired several shots at his vehicle from another vehicle that then fled the scene. Cuxun was struck once; the other two occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
 
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting, but do not believe it was random.
