Suicide Prevention

Content

People who are incarcerated may feel overwhelmed by the experience or they have concerns about other things going on in their lives. Sadly, a percentage of these people feel desperate enough to consider taking their own life.

If at any time a friend, relative, or loved one share thoughts or show signs of suicide such as hopelessness or change in their behavior, please notify an Officer or any staff member at our facilities. Even if the inmate mentions killing him/herself and then says they were not serious, they may have been, so please, notify a staff member immediately.
