ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to stabilize sections of the stream along Autumn Harvest and Wheatfield Way in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Monday, May 13th. Rocks and other natural materials will be used along the stream to stabilize its banks and reduce erosion. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by fall 2024.

Signs will be posted in the project area to alert residents and pedestrians of the work and corresponding sidewalk closure between 8504 and 8534 Autumn Harvest. The project is not expected to impact vehicular traffic in the area.

This project supports the County’s water quality improvement and restoration efforts under its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit. Additionally, a portion of this project is funded through the County’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund
