ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Phase I of a Howard County project to make electrical and communication improvements to the Water Pumping Station at 4901 Edgar Road in Ellicott City, is underway.  The upgrades will improve redundancy and better usage of pumping station’s power feeders, as well as add new and modernize existing communication capabilities with the operations center at the County’s Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plan. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed by late June.

The project is not expected to impact traffic in the area; however, signs will be posted to alert residents and motorists of the work.

The first phase of the project will involve mostly external electrical work, while Phase II will focus on internal communications work.
