ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to replace approximately 150 linear feet of eight-inch cement sewer pipe with an iron-steel sewer pipe in the river at Woodland Road in Ellicott City, adjacent to Centennial Park East Area’s Pavilion H, has begun. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late March 2024.

While the work is being done, the Centennial Park access pathway that runs along the Little Patuxent River from Woodland Road to Old Annapolis Road will be closed. Signs will be posted to alert the public of the project and corresponding pathway closure.

While Howard County works hard to maintain a safe work area, residents and park visitors are asked to avoid this area during the project. Remember, work zone safety is in your hands.

This project is being done in conjunction with the Department of Public Works’ (DPW) ongoing Little Patuxent Stream Stabilization Project
